Beacon combines an impact-resistant frame with Over The Glass Ready (OTG) construction, bringing style and performance together for riders who wear glasses. Inspired by structures such as air traffic control towers, ODT replicates an eagle’s-eye view of the mountains. Its lower frame sits closer to the face, tilting the cylindrical lens to increase vertical peripheral vision by 20% and reveal the entire line below. Blocking direct incoming light eliminates glare and inner-lens reflections. The injection-molded polycarbonate cylindrical lens is flatter and lower-profile than a spherical lens, curving horizontally while staying flat vertically for a closer fit. Digitally optically tapered thickness reduces distortion and provides optics similar to a spherical lens. Available lens options include photochromic Automatic lenses for any condition without lens changes, polarized lenses and Molecular Mirror. Japan-sourced polarizing film is layered into an injected lens stack to reduce glare reflected from surrounding objects and keep eyes comfortable. Molecular Mirror adds molecular-level glare reduction and a distinctive look, with lenses for every condition. Protection against UV is 100%, addressing the eyes’ vulnerability to harmful rays in the light spectrum; Ellume Polarized is also mentioned.
