The Rise Above 88, with a 3D radius sidecut, is described as the most versatile ski in the new touring range, performing well on ascents and descents. Its multi-layer wood core combines minimal weight of 1,186 g at 170 cm with stability and smoothness. Its highly resilient tip is especially useful in wind-blown snow. The sidecut geometry makes it agile in narrow passages, while the full sidewall adds stability and resilience. A narrower waist under the boot and moderate shaping at the tip and tail help maintain control with less effort, even on tours with a heavy backpack. The Völkl Smart Skin Clip system is compatible with Fibre Tech and Smart Glue skins.
