For steep ascents, the Flex ALP uses an ActiveLift™ 19° heel lift that improves support, eases climbing and reduces calf fatigue and Achilles tendon strain. It pulls up and down easily; the 19° Backcountry version is ideal for extreme ascents, while the 16° Day Hiking version is designed for moderate terrain. Underfoot, the Viper™ 2.0 carbon steel toe crampon combines jagged teeth for maximum weighted traction and responsiveness with aggressive tangs for added security on variable snow. Micro-serrated traction rails and blades integrated into the rear deck provide grip on rough ground. The curved Traction Rails deliver superior sidehill grip on hard-packed and icy surfaces and help prevent fore-aft slippage on steeper terrain. Tubbs’ Torsion Deck™ technology, presented alongside Flex Tail™, allows torsional articulation throughout the snowshoe body, enhancing traction and comfort on uneven terrain while preserving a natural gait. The Rotating Toe Cord With Rotation Limiter system lets the tail drop to shed snow and reduce cardio-respiratory strain by 7%, with a limiter to prevent over-rotation. Comfort, security and quick, intuitive entry and exit come from the ActiveFit™ 2.0 binding, also named Active Fit™ 2.0 Binding: its easy-to-handle TPU cinch strap reduces friction and ice build-up, and the one-handed EZ Heel Buckle ensures all-day comfort. Part of the Flex collection, the Flex ALP features a Flex Deck™ frame and high traction for rolling and rugged terrain, steep mountains, mixed conditions and off-trail hiking. Sizes are 21 and 25, and the colour is lime-green.
