A wide contact area lets mountain bikers focus on the trail ahead, while the dual-sided SPD binding improves shoe-to-pedal stability and power transfer. When riding unclipped, the integrated cage adds stability and control; it also shields the binding mechanism from impacts. Individual adjustment is possible through the adjustable engagement and release tension, with sturdy retention claws providing smoother engagement and release. A chromoly steel axle with sealed cartridge bearings is easy to maintain.
