The NO. 08 OUTDOOR VERT folding knife is a versatile technical tool engineered for demanding outdoor activities and harsh environments, including sailing, mountaineering, canyoning, caving, and trekking. Its robust 2.5mm-thick blade is crafted from martensitic stainless steel enriched with nitrogen and chromium, providing high hardness and superior corrosion resistance. The blade features a 3.5cm serrated section designed for clean, effortless cutting of natural or synthetic ropes, alongside an integrated shackle key suitable for 4mm to 10mm shackles.
The ergonomic handle is injected with fiberglass-reinforced polyamide, ensuring exceptional resistance to impacts, water, and extreme temperature fluctuations ranging from -40C to +80C. For enhanced safety during emergencies, a pealess survival whistle is built directly into the butt of the handle. Capable of operating in all weather conditions, this whistle delivers a powerful 110 dB sound with a range of approximately 300 meters in open areas, providing reliable signaling when required.
This model comes equipped with the renowned Virobloc® safety ring, a stainless steel mechanism consisting of both fixed and sliding sections. This system securely locks the blade in the open position to ensure operational safety during cutting tasks. Additionally, it allows users to lock the blade in the closed position, guaranteeing safe transport in a pocket or backpack while navigating both marine and mountain expeditions.
