Once installed, it lowers your gear by 61 cm (2 ft) for an ergonomic, easy-reach position, and its gas pistons take on up to 75% of the effort when raising equipment back into place. The system pairs with bike carriers, kayak, canoe or paddleboard cradles, roof boxes and ski racks already on the market, and its J-shaped design even lets it double as a kayak cradle on its own, making it a highly versatile multisport carrier. Total load capacity is rated at 125 lb (56 kg), so always check it against the limits of your carriers and your vehicle's specifications.
