The Cirrus Hemp model is a slip-on sneaker crafted from a blend of hemp, wood pulp, and fine wool. Its upper construction features a 3D knit design that outperforms conventional synthetic materials in terms of performance. The production process utilizes natural fibers extracted from hemp stalks, reducing the reliance on harmful chemicals and petrochemicals. Thanks to the inherent properties of hemp, the footwear provides moisture resistance to keep feet dry while benefiting from natural anti-bacterial characteristics.
The design prioritizes long-lasting comfort throughout the day with a plain-toe style suitable for various formal or casual occasions. The sole, engineered for stability and durability, incorporates bio-based ingredients such as algae or sugarcane. To optimize grip and facilitate movement across different surfaces, the sole structure is complemented by strategically positioned rubber inserts.
From an environmental perspective, the Cirrus Hemp model is characterized by a reduced carbon footprint, averaging 5.14 kg CO2e per pair compared to an industry average of 14 kg. Variants featuring an algae-based sole report emissions of 5.24 kg CO2e, while those using sugarcane reach 5.04 kg CO2e. These ecological performance data have been independently analyzed and certified according to ISO 14067 standards by thinkstep™ and Ekos™.
